Transgender: God Didn’t Make You This Way

The Seventh-day Adventist Church released a statementon April 11, 2017 regarding the position of the church regarding transgenderism and the attitude that SDA Church members should have toward transgender individuals. I found the statement to be very carefully thought through and compassionate while being grounded in bible truth. I’m including the entire text below for your benefit. Seventh-day Adventist World Church Vote Statement on Transgenderism:

Church leaders express the desire to bring people to the foot of the cross, not chase them away from Christ

The following statement on Transgenderism, or Gender Dysphoria, was voted by the executive committee of the Seventh-day Adventist Church during their annual Spring Meetings.

In his role as chair, Ted Wilson, president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church urged the statement be voted “with the understanding we may be able to adjust a little phrasing here or there that might make it less abstract.” He went on to say, … Continue reading

The Power of Agreement

“In the mouth of two or three witnesses, every word shall be established” (Deuteronomy 19:15, Matthew 18:16, John 8:17, 2 Corinthians 13:1, 1 Timothy 5:19)

One of the truths that has most shaped my ministry as a Prayer Warrior is the power of agreement. It all started three years ago when I was helping our church to develop and grow our Prayer Ministry. I was working to get the Prayer Team to do an intercessory prayer service in the sanctuary every Sabbath after the divine service. One Sabbath afternoon we were in the Prayer Room rehearsing what the prayer line should look like, and this still small voice inside of me kept reminding me of the words of Jesus in Matthew 18:19: “If two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven”. Being quite new in the church and on the team, I was shy to bring it up as it was already a victory that the team was willing to stand in front … Continue reading

040 – Messiah’s Calendar Part 2

Jesus’ Movement through the Sanctuary

The Plan of Redemption is unfolding on time according to key prophecies. Jesus’ movement through the sanctuary marks the big phases of God’s Plan of Redemption.

Today’s program is Part 2 of Messiah’s Calendar, a study of the “mystery of God” contained in the ancient Hebrew Sanctuary and the Jewish religious calendar. Today we’ll be looking at three important aspects of the Sanctuary: 1) We’ll address the question of whether we still need to keep the Sabbath. In our last program 039 – Messiah’s Calendar Part 1 we said that we don’t need to keep the feasts, but do we need to keep the Sabbath? We’re going to tackle that question first. 2) We’re going to consider the importance of time in the unfolding of the Plan of Redemption. I’ll be providing the biblical evidence for the calendar aspects of the Plan of Redemption to demonstrate that God always moves on time. God’s plan is unfolding according to the prophecies given in Genesis 3:15 and Daniel 8:13-14. His … Continue reading

039 – Messiah’s Calendar Part 1

The ancient Jewish sanctuary and the Jewish feasts are patterned after God’s Plan of Salvation for Jews and Gentiles. They contain the secret code for endtime prophecy.

The Jewish Feasts

Introduction

Today’s study – Part 1 of Messiah’s Calendar – is based on the sanctuary and on the Hebrew religious calendar. I’ve shared with you before that the study of the ancient sanctuary is one of the teachings that has most increased my faith. Every aspect of the sanctuary points to a beautiful, precious truth about God’s Plan of Salvation for mankind. Every ritual and every sacrifice points not to bulls and goats, which cannot atone for sin, but points to Jesus: the pre-ordained Messiah of both Jews and Gentiles.

The Bible says in Psalms 77:13: “Your way O Lord is in the sanctuary: who is so great a God as our God?” Who said that He was “the way, the truth and the life”? Jesus the Messiah of course. In math, if a = b and b = c, then a = … Continue reading

The word “trump” has rich meaning in the English language and in the Bible. Is Donald Trump’s name a prophetic sign from God?

In today’s program I’ll be discussing the significance of the name of our newly elected US President, Donald Trump, in relation to Bible prophecy for the end time. It’s fascinating that Trump’s name is so rich in meaning, both in the secular meaning of the word and in the biblical meaning of the word. Personally I don’t think this is a coincidence. I submit to you that Donald Trump’s name might be a sign from God with prophetic meaning: both the secular meaning of the word but especially the biblical meaning of the word. I believe that God might have a very important end … Continue reading
